Romantic Wedding Flowers at the Neighborhood Church & Portofino Hotel

From a Long Beach Wedding and event Florist Who Lives for Whimsical & Wild Moments

This June, L & B celebrated their wedding with a heartfelt ceremony at the Neighborhood Church in Rancho Palos Verdes followed by a joyful reception at the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach. The day couldn’t have been more perfect, the weather, the views, and the florals all came together to create something truly special.

Ceremony at the Neighborhood Church

The Neighborhood Church is one of the most breathtaking ceremony spots in Southern California, perched above the ocean with views that feel endless. Against that backdrop, L & B exchanged vows surrounded by whimsical, garden-inspired florals that reflected their romantic style.

The bride carried a bouquet filled with movement and softness: clematis, jasmine vine, sweet pea, and garden roses in lilac and blush tones with a hint of peach for warmth. It was delicate, textured, and full of the vine-y, whimsical look she loved. Seeing her in her veil, with that bouquet in hand, was such a timeless, romantic moment.

Reception at the Portofino Hotel

For the reception at the Portofino Hotel, we continued the airy, romantic aesthetic. The ceremony pieces were repurposed to frame the sweetheart table, creating a lush focal point for the couple. Tables were set with whimsical centerpieces that felt both sophisticated and inviting, softened by candlelight.

Every piece had its own charm, but the cake table florals were a favorite! delicate, romantic blooms framing the cake and tying the whole reception design together.

The Floral Story

This wedding was all about romance with a touch of whimsy. Using vines, delicate blooms, and garden roses, the florals had a natural, airy quality that felt effortless yet refined.

Highlights included:

  • Jasmine vine & clematis for movement and texture

  • Sweet pea for a soft, whimsical detail

  • Garden roses in lilac, blush, and light peach for romance and depth

The result was a floral story that felt timeless, personal, and uniquely theirs.

FAQ: Wedding Florist Questions You Were Totally Going to Google Later

A: Ideally, 6–12 months before your wedding. For full-service florals, the sooner the better — especially during peak SoCal wedding season (spring/fall).

Q: Do you offer mock-ups?
A: Yes! Mock-up centerpiece sessions start at $250 and are a great way to preview your design direction, especially if you’re visual and want that extra peace of mind.

Q: What areas do you serve?
A: I’m based in Long Beach but serve all of Southern California: from Los Angeles to Orange County to wine country and beyond.

Q: Do you offer a la carte options?
A: Absolutely! I have a la carte services for couples who want gorgeous flowers without the full-service experience, perfect for elopements or budget-conscious weddings.

Q: What’s your floral style?
A: My style is whimsical, unique, and full of personality, a mix of creative flair and bold romance. I love designing florals that feel magical, meaningful, and totally custom to each couple.

Q: Do you work with specific venues or planners?
A: Yes! I love collaborating with planners and venues across SoCal. If you’re already working with someone, I’m happy to integrate seamlessly into your vendor team.
